Reflection:
I decided to make a flyer to promote a school carnival. It includes information for who, what, when, where, and why. This is useful for students in all grades. As a teacher it is very useful to know how to create a flyer. I will be creating them a lot to inform parents and families about different activities going on at the school and in the classroom as well. It can be useful for students to know how to create flyers for projects that they have to do. A pro of creating a flyer is that teaches students how to create something informative, and it is easy to understand how to make a flyer. A con to creating a flyer is that it can take a lot of time to create.
Standards:
UEN standard: standard 2, how to write informative text to explain a topic and convey ideas using organization and relevant content.
EdTech standard: five: Students use technology tools (e.g., multimedia authoring, presentation, web tools, digital cameras, scanners) for individual and collaborative writing, communication, and publishing activities to create knowledge products for audiences inside and outside the classroom.
ISTE standard: Creative Communicator: Students communicate effectively and express themselves creatively using different tools, styles, formats, and digital media.
