EDpuzzle: 5th Grade Health

Reflection:
I made an EDpuzzle for 5th graders to learn about saying no to drugs. I created the video with some questions throughout EDpuzzle that will quiz them on content from the video. I can use this in my classroom to show informational videos, that allow the students to be assessed throughout the video. Students could use this tool to create their own EDpuzzle. If the students have a presentation they could create an EDpuzzle to go with it. They could have their peers watch the video, and take the assessments. Some pros to this tool, is that it is easy to use and understand, it is free, and there are a lot of resources within EDpuzzle to use to create the videos.

Standards:
UEN standard: fifth grade health: standard 2, students will adopt health promoting and risk-reducing behaviors to prevent substance abuse.
EdTech standard: five: Students will use technology tools (e.g., multimedia, authoring, presentation, web tools, digital cameras, scanners) for individual and collaborative writing, communication, and publishing activities to create knowledge products for audiences inside and outside the classroom.
ISTE standard: Global Collaborator: Students will strive to broaden their perspective, understand others, and work effectively in teams using digital tools.

Piktochart: 3rd Grade Health

Reflection:
I made a piktochart for third graders to learn about nutrition. This is a basic overview of what is in the food pyramid and the daily intake from each category in the food pyramid. This can be useful for my future classroom to make flyers, or informational pages I want the students to keep. The students could also use this to make flyers for something they are presenting on. Some pros of piktochart are it is free and there is a lot of ways to create what you want. There are a lot of different templates that can help you create what you want. A con to this is that it is sort of hard to understand. If you do decide to use a template you have to delete everything in the template to change it to what you want. (its not just boxes you type into)

Standards:
UEN standard: third grade health: standard 6, students will understand nutrient groups.
EdTech standard: five: Students will use technology tools (e.g., multimedia authoring, presentation, web tools, digital cameras, scanners, for individual and collaborative writing, communication, and publishing activities to create knowledge products for audiences inside and outside the classroom.
ISTE standard: Creative Communicator: Students communicate effectively and express themselves creatively using different tools, styles, formats, and digital media.

Google Slides: 6th Grade Science

Reflection:
I made a google slide presentation. The presentation is about the phases of the moon. I could use this presentation to introduce the phases of the moon. Then do an activity after I've shown the google slides. I will use this in my classroom to present new topics and ideas we are learning. My students can use this tool to make their own presentations. This can also be good if you want students to collaborate with their peers outside of class, for a group project. Google slides is set up so you can share your slides with others. It would make it very easy for students to work on presentations outside of classes without having to find a time they would all be available. Pros to google slides are, it is easy to use, free, and can easily be shared with anyone.

Standards:
UEN standard: sixth grade science: Standard 1, understand the phases of the moon.
EdTech standard:five: Students will use technology tools (e.g., multimedia authoring, presentation, web tools, digital cameras, scanners) for individual and collaborative writing, communication and publishing activities to create knowledge products for audiences inside and outside the classroom.
ISTE standard: Creative Communicator: Students communicate effectively and express themselves creatively using different tools, styles, formats, and digital media.
