Pinterest: 2nd Grade Social Studies

Reflection:

The tool that I have chosen to use is Pinterest. Pinterest is a tool that allows you to save different ideas (pins) on boards. It can help you organize lesson plans and different ideas to use in your classroom. I can use this tool today to help me save useful information for my future classroom. There are a lot of different tools available that I can save for future reference. When I am a teacher I can use pinterest to help me find different lesson plans. It has a lot of different worksheets and lessons that I can refer to. I could use pinterest to have students research a topic that we are discussing in class. I could have the students find a certain number links that relate to a topic we are discussing and then have them read the articles or watch the videos associated with the pins, that they pin. Pros of pinterest are it can help you to stay very organized, and there is so much information available to help you. A con of pinterest is you can easily get distracted and go off topic.
